Community Guidelines:

*These are not hard and fast rules. They are guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a friendly community space.

  1. This is your space. Please treat this discussion forum with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.
  2. Be civil and respectful in what you say. This space exists for educators and makers to find, collect, disseminate, and speak on resources, guides, and tools, and in order to do this effectively, we need to communicate in kindness. That means no discriminatory comments, no personal attacks, no foul language, no defamatory statements, and no incitement of violence.
  3. Take space, make space; don’t spam, but also feel free to create opportunities for conversation and sharing. Don’t feel obligated to over communicate. Give everyone the chance to participate.
  4. If you see a problem, flag it. This community depends on transparent communication and moderating.
  5. Keep it tidy: Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:
  • Don’t start a topic in the wrong category; please read the category definitions.
